A walk in a pea pod field

Happy Birthday Puppy

We celebrated our puppy's birthday (don't judge us). I even made a doggie cake which he loved. After I baked the cake I put the cake on our dinning room table. I ran upstairs for a second and when I came back down to my surprise our little puppy was standing on the chair, leaning over to the dining room table licking his cake (don't worry, we never ever let him eat at our table or on our plates).
Please don't judge us that we celebrate our dogs birthday. Maybe we should start thinking about having kids so we have something else to steal our attention.

Please don't touch the Baby.

I had to share this with my readers. I think when I have a child I might steal her idea. I don't want people with germs touching my baby. j/k (a little)!!!
This was found on peopleofwalmart.com (this is a great site for some good laughs)
I want it..
I need it..
I just have to have it...
Will you buy it for me?

Everyone needs their picture taken on the first day of school!
Bear goes back to school.

Through my whole life my Mom had to take my picture on my first day of school, so I am not letting the tradition end. Bear had his first day of school on Tuesday and he stood out on our porch for his first day of school picture. One day he will thank me :) The week before we had gone school shopping for some notebooks, pens, and of course we can not forget clothes. "Grad students have to dress professionally, and I don't have any professional clothes", said Mr, Grad Student Bear Brooks. So we took one day and got his hair cut and went clothes shopping. When we got home he did a fashion show of all the new things that he got. Below are a couple of pictures from the fashion show. Enjoy!!
First Day of School.

I have become a stalker

The man walked through the aisles of our local grocery store and I caught a glimpse of him. To my amazement and excitement he was wearing a “No Name Saloon” hat. I searched on the hat for the words Park City, Utah and I found them. I felt so excited inside.

I watched him as he walked through the aisle and closer to me. I am sure that he noticed. He had to of. I was literary starting at him for 3 minutes. He looked lost and confused as he walked closer. I thought to say something but nothing came out of my mouth. He was gone. I turned around in some what of a pantic, I might of lost the UTAH man. But don not worry, I found him in the check out lane. I thought to myself “if I get in the check out lane next to him we will out of the store together”. As I kept an eye peeled on this ‘no name saloon’ man I slowly watched as he got closer to checking out. I was stuck in the lane were the old lady was taking a very long time doing everything so I was stuck waiting for my turn. I watched him walk out the door and out of my life. No chance to ask him about his hat. At least it brought me joy.

No, the picture is not of the man in the store. It is another random person that I found on the internet who is wearing the same hat :)

I'm Lucky

Bear surprised me with this beautiful 'utah' necklace. Now Utah can always be close to my heart.

This candy has a vivid place in my childhood memories. When I was growing up I have this memory of my Mom really liking this candy. However, it was not always the easiest to find so when we did find them she would buy them and open them up as soon as we got into the car. I remember only liking the brown and yellow ones. They were the flavor of chocolate and banana, I would put the two colors in my mouth and have an explosion of chocolaty and banana flavors. It was great, so when I saw Necco’s at the store I picked them up. I brought them home for Bear to experience the same joy that I had. But I was very wrong.
Mom, fyi, these are horrible candies. It is the same experience as eating a piece of chalk.
Thanks for the childhood memory.
